I’ve been thinking a bit about spoilers, and the site Spoilerfix in particular. For those of you who don’t know, Spoilerfix provides unconfirmed information of upcoming Lost episodes. The information can be anything from what the episode will be about to new actors coming on the show.
The thing is, do we really want to know what is about to happen before we see it?
Sure, the line between fan speculation based on what is seen on the show and pretty solid information on upcoming shows might be a bit blurred. But to use the terms someone else did in some article this week, if Lost and the speculations and theories is like a video game, wouldn’t sites like Spoilerfix be cheating?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the people behind Spoilerfix are doing a great job. But what’s the fun about making up and discussing theories related to Lost and then already know what the next episode will be about before it even airs?
