Perrineau joins CBS pilot

Michael on Lost

Harold Perrineau who plays Michael on Lost has been cast in the CBS pilot “Demons” according to various sources.

The project, from CBS Paramount Network TV, centers on Gus, an ex-Jesuit priest-psychologist who performs exorcisms. Perrineau will play a priest who has known Gus since seminary and is his confessor, confidante and good friend.

Meanwhile, Lost executive-producer Carlton Cuse said this in a recent interview:

We put a pin in the Michael and Walt story for the season, but by no means is it over. It would be very strange for the end of Michael and Walt to just send them off in that boat without any acknowledgment of what has happened. But if you look at the bigger picture of Lost, there’s a circularity to the way that story is going to unfold in the overall mythology, and that is a long, planned approach. Yes, we’ll get back to the Michael and Walt story, and it will be really compelling when we do. But that’s most likely a year 4 story.

If Harold’s new show is being picked up, this could mean trouble for Lost since Michael’s storyline isn’t supposed to be over.

It’s possible that he could do both shows considering that Michael has left the Lost island and isn’t currently an active character, so I’m still hoping that we will see Harold Perrineau reprise his role in a future episode, but I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Lost is boring at this point. Romances don’t make sense, recaps are absurd, nothing happens to move the story forward, and I don’t care. Thank goodness for Heroes. I can discuss this complaint, but outside of “bored” and “lost all concern for characters” there isn’t much else to discuss.

Yet you still feel compelled to post about the show here.

Jas – And you felt that was relevant to this topic in what way?

I really enjoy Heroes too but in my opinion Lost is still a bit sharper.

I’m sure Harold would be back for only an episode or two in Season 4 – I doubt he’d be on for the whole season or the rest of the series.

Good for him, he’s a good actor. So thats why he’s done for this season. I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait to find out about him and Walt. There’s so much going on anyways, must be hard to decide which topics/storylines to write about and show without neglecting others and the whole plot.

I look forward to this new series. I recently met a man who, a psychologist, who also says he’s a demonologist and has done “battle” with many demons. I won’t go into the details here but the stories he tells are very chilling. Nothing like “The Exorcist” movie. I don’t know how much I believe but I feel confident that *he* believes in what he is saying. And he’s not a kook!

As for Lost, if they don’t have VERY powerful and deep ending for Michael and Walt, they will loose me for sure.
